Transylvania Classic 2025 has come to an end, and once again, it was a valuable experience for the Eldrive Romania team, competing with a state-of-the-art electric model: the Volvo EX30 RWD Long Range.

Performance, Efficiency, and Control
With 272 hp delivered to the rear axle, the EX30 proved to be one of the most dynamic and agile electric SUVs on the market. With the steering set to Firm mode and a perfectly balanced classic suspension setup, the car delivered a stable, enjoyable, and safe driving experience – exactly what you need on a spectacular route like Transfăgărășan.

🔋 Real-world consumption during competition:

Day 1: 12.8 kWh/100 km

Day 2: 15.9 kWh/100 km

Fast Charging with Eldrive
Beyond dynamic performance, the Volvo EX30 also impressed in terms of charging capabilities. At the 150 kW Eldrive charging station at River Plaza Mall in Râmnicu Vâlcea, the car was plugged in at 34% and reached a peak charging power of 133 kW. The result?
⚡ From 34% to 80% in just 20 minutes
⚡ From 34% to 95% in 35 minutes

Throughout the event, charging went smoothly. Every evening, we charged the vehicle at the Eldrive station on Str. Blănarilor 4 (Piața Mică, Sibiu), next to BRD Groupe Société Générale.

📍 DC station – 120 kW (2 x CCS) – ideal for EV participants
⏱️ Fast, accessible, and always available charging – a real advantage during a competitive event.

Final Results
The crew Răzvan Măgureanu – Elena Mandache (Eldrive Romania) finished:
🏁 10th place in the electric vehicle category
🏁 15th overall, out of 69 registered teams

Even though we didn’t manage to repeat our 2024 victory on the Transfăgărășan special stage, our participation wasn’t about the podium – it was about learning: understanding how an EV performs in real-world conditions, monitoring consumption and charging, and getting closer to the community of EV enthusiasts and users.

Why do we take part in events like this?
Because we want to better understand the real-world behavior of electric vehicles, test our charging network in real conditions, and stay close to those who choose electric mobility every day.
It’s our way of learning, testing, and improving.
