The Eldrive electric vehicle charging network continues to expand – a 200 kW charging station has been installed next to the Rimi shopping centre in Domeikava, Kaunas District. This is already the seventeenth charging location at Rimi stores across Lithuania. According to Tomas Tamašauskas, Head of Eldrive Lithuania, the new location will suit both those coming to shop and residents of the surrounding neighbourhoods.
“Our partnership, which began a few years ago, is gaining more and more momentum. We have already opened seventeen locations at Rimi, and we plan to open even more in the future.”
Two electric cars will be able to charge at the same time at the new location.
In the past year alone, Eldrive doubled its network of charging stations – the network started operating in 10 more new cities. In 2025, the company also opened three Eldrive charging hubs – two on the country's main road, the Vilnius–Klaipėda highway, and one Eldrive charging hub near Senoji Varėna.
In addition, dozens of charging points operate near Kaunas, at the Kaunas Urban HUB site. This location has become very popular both with Kaunas residents and with drivers passing through.
There are currently more than 46,000 electric cars on Lithuanian roads, and their number has increased significantly since 2021, when only a few thousand such vehicles were registered in the country.
