Electric car drivers in Pašilaičiai can now charge even faster and more conveniently. At the PC Pašilaičiai shopping centre, Pavilnionių g. 55, Vilnius, the slow (AC) chargers that used to operate here have been replaced with four new 50 kW Eldrive fast-charging (DC) stations. Each station has two CCS2 connectors, so eight electric vehicles can charge here at the same time.

The shopping centre is home to many different shops, and cars can be parked on several levels, so the new stations have been installed on different sides of the centre: two next to Maxima and two next to Ermitažas. Drivers can choose wherever is most convenient for them to stop, and four electric vehicles can charge at the same time at each of these spots.

At a 50 kW station, the battery can be charged almost fully in about an hour – roughly the time it often takes to do the shopping or other everyday errands. Compared with the slow chargers that used to operate here, the battery can now be charged much faster, although the exact charging time depends on the car model and battery condition.

“Pašilaičiai is a large residential district, and people drop by the shopping centre almost every day. The slow chargers were better suited to those who leave their car for longer, but most people come here to shop and don’t stay long. That’s why we replaced the old chargers with fast ones – now the car will have time to charge while people do their shopping, and eight connectors mean it will be easier to find a free spot,” says Country Manager T. Tamašauskas.

Fast charging in Vilnius

The upgraded location adds to Eldrive’s fast-charging network in this part of the capital. Just half a kilometre away, at Rimi Pavilnionys (Pavilnionių g. 22), a 50 kW charger with CCS2 and CHAdeMO connectors is available, and about a kilometre away, at Domus Pro (Ukmergės g. 308), cars can charge at up to 180 kW.

For those who leave their car to charge for longer, standard (AC) chargers also operate nearby: at Rimi Pašilaičiai (Medeinos g. 8) and Meraki (Eitminų g. 3), charging power reaches up to 22 kW.

“The number of electric cars in the capital is growing rapidly, so we are not only installing new charging locations but also upgrading existing ones. We want fast charging to be close to home and in the places people already visit every day,” says T. Tamašauskas.

According to the Ministry of Transport and Communications, 31,074 battery electric cars were registered in Lithuania on 1 September 2026, compared with 20,817 a year earlier. Electric cars are also gaining ground among new cars: according to the Lithuanian Electric Vehicle Association (ENA), electric cars accounted for 20.4% of all new passenger cars acquired in January–July 2026.

How to charge

Charging at the upgraded location, as at all other stations in the network, can be started with the Eldrive app or an RFID card. The app shows whether connectors are free and the current price, and lets you pay for charging.

Addresses and connector details for all charging locations in Vilnius are available on the Eldrive website.

The Eldrive network keeps growing across Lithuania

Eldrive currently has around 190 EV charging locations in Lithuania, including four charging hubs along the country’s main highways. The company operates in three markets – Lithuania, Romania and Bulgaria. The Eldrive network has more than 3,500 charging points.
