A new Route Planner is now available in the Eldrive app, designed to make every electric vehicle journey simpler, more efficient, and worry-free. This new feature makes planning longer trips easier by identifying the most suitable charging stations along your route. It is available starting July 16, 2026, for Eldrive users in Lithuania, Romania, and Bulgaria.
Designed specifically for electric mobility, the Route Planner helps drivers prepare their journeys based on their vehicle, battery level, and destination. Route planning and charging stop planning are now combined in one place. Directly within the Eldrive app, users can organize their entire trip quickly and intuitively in just a few steps.
To create a route, users can:
- Select their electric vehicle model.
- Enter their starting point and destination.
- Choose the battery level at the start of the trip.
- Set the desired battery level upon arrival.
- Receive a recommended route with suggested stops at Eldrive charging stations.
- View the estimated charging time for each stop.
- Open the planned route directly in Google Maps.
The Route Planner uses vehicle information, including battery capacity and average energy consumption, to calculate a recommended route. Based on this data, the app estimates when charging will be required and suggests suitable charging stations along the way.
This allows drivers to better understand their journey before departure, including the estimated number of charging stops and the approximate charging time at each stop.
By bringing together vehicle information, route planning, and the Eldrive charging network in one place, this new feature reduces uncertainty and makes organizing longer EV trips much easier. Whether traveling from Bucharest to Constanța, Sofia to Varna, or Vilnius to Klaipėda, users receive route recommendations tailored to their selected vehicle and preferred battery level.
Important Information
The Route Planner provides estimates for routes, charging stops, travel time, and charging duration based on available vehicle data and external routing services.
Actual results may vary depending on driving speed, weather conditions, traffic, vehicle load, energy consumption, charging station availability, and other factors. Therefore, the Route Planner should be used as a trip planning aid rather than as a guaranteed travel plan.
To access the new feature, users are encouraged to ensure they have installed the latest version of the Eldrive app.
