Eldrive contributed to the historic Aplink Lietuvą rally
The Aplink Lietuvą (Around Lithuania) rally, with a history of almost a century, stood out this year not only for Lithuanian motorsport but also for the history of e-mobility. Held for the 35th time, the traditional race was included in the 2026 FIA Eco Rally Cup calendar for the first time and became one of the most modern motorsport events in Lithuania.
This year, two competitions took place at the same time in the rally: the FIA Eco Rally Cup Aplink Lietuvą, in which crews driving electric cars from various European countries competed, and the traditional Aplink Lietuvą rally, in which drivers of standard and historic cars took part.
For the electric car crews, this race was a test not of speed but of precision, efficiency and energy consumption. Competing for the President’s Cup, the drivers had to complete the regularity sections as accurately as possible, stick to the set schedule and at the same time achieve the best possible energy consumption results.
Eldrive charging infrastructure also contributed to the smooth running of the rally. During the competition, the electric cars topped up their energy at Eldrive charging hubs and stations – including the Eldrive charging hub in Senoji Varėna and in Kaunas. This allowed the participants to continue the route of more than 600 km on Lithuanian roads conveniently and without disruption.
The winners of the FIA Eco Rally Cup Aplink Lietuvą were Czech drivers Michal Zdarsky and Jakub Nabelek, driving a Hyundai Inster electric car. They were presented with the race’s main trophy – the President’s Cup. This crew also stood out for its exceptionally precise driving and efficient energy consumption.
For the Eldrive team, it is important to contribute to events that show that e-mobility is already part not only of everyday travel but also of high-level motorsport. Events such as the FIA Eco Rally Cup Aplink Lietuvą help to further highlight the importance of reliable, fast and conveniently located charging infrastructure.
Over several days, the rally participants covered scenic Lithuanian roads, and their electric cars were charged on the Eldrive network without disruption. This showed once again that in Lithuania it is possible to travel by electric car conveniently, in a planned way and with confidence – both on everyday journeys and at international-level events.
