Eldrive Romania has commissioned the first Alpitronic MOON HYC1000 EV charger in Eastern Europe, enabling ultra-fast charging of electric vehicles. The charger is installed in Eldrive’s HUB at the SUPERNOVA Pitești shopping center and marks a national and regional premiere in terms of charging power and technological evolution. The HYC1000 is the most advanced charging system currently available in Europe and globally. It operates with a dedicated power-electronics cabinet capable of delivering up to1,000 kW, dynamically allocating power between multiple charging points. Asingle CCS connector can supply up to 600 kW, allowing compatible vehicles to add hundreds of kilometers of range in under ten minutes. The system supports up to four vehicles charging at once, automatically distributing power to ensure maximum efficiency.
This type of charger is beginning to appear in select Western European markets, such as Germany and Austria, where HYC1000 units are being installed along major motorway corridors. However, the unit commissioned by Eldrive Romania is the very first HYC1000 charger to be installed and operational anywhere in Eastern Europe, placing Romania at the forefront of next-generation high-power charging infrastructure.

The launch also coincides with an important milestone for Eldrive Romania, which has now reached 1,000 charging points nationwide, contributing to Eldrive Group’s growing presence across the region. Today, Eldrive operates approximately 1,200 charging points in Bulgaria and around 700 charging points in Lithuania, forming one of the strongest high-power charging networks in Eastern Europe.
