Two awards for Eldrive Romania in 2026
The Diplomat-Bucharest recognised Eldrive Romania twice this year. On 28 May, at the Energy 2026 CEO Forum & Awards Gala, Eldrive Romania received the Green Mobility Award for opening the first HYC1000 ultra-fast charger in Eastern Europe, in Pitești. On 13 October, at the Sustainability in Business Forum & Awards, it was named E-Mobility Infrastructure Leader. That citation points to the ten 400 kW chargers at the Fetești hub and to a network of more than 1,000 charging points across Romania. Elena Mandache, Group Brand Director at Eldrive, accepted both awards on behalf of the team.

What was recognised
Both awards were presented by The Diplomat-Bucharest, a business media outlet and events organiser in Romania since 2004. Each one points to a specific part of Eldrive Romania's charging infrastructure.
Energy 2026 CEO Forum & Awards Gala, 15th edition, 28 May 2026. For the first HYC1000 ultra-fast charger in Eastern Europe, at Eldrive's hub in Pitești.
Sustainability in Business Forum & Awards, 7th edition, 13 October 2026. For high-power charging in Romania, from the Fetești hub to more than 1,000 charging points.
On 13 October Elena Mandache also spoke in the forum's afternoon session on electric fleets, charging infrastructure and energy efficiency. Eldrive was a Gold Partner of the event.

Green Mobility Award for a first in Eastern Europe
The Energy Awards Gala is The Diplomat-Bucharest's flagship event. Its 15th edition brought together leaders from Romania's energy sector and the sustainable mobility industry, and closed with awards for the year's most significant projects.
The Green Mobility Award went to the company that inaugurated the first ultra-fast HYC1000 charging station for electric vehicles in Eastern Europe. In the organiser's citation, the project sets a new performance standard for Romania's e-mobility infrastructure and helps speed up the move to sustainable, digitalised transport. The award was presented to Eldrive Romania.
The charger behind the award
Eldrive Romania opened the HYC1000 on 3 December 2025 at its charging hub in the car park of the Supernova shopping centre in Pitești. The Alpitronic charger, supplied through MOON POWER, has a total output of 1 MW. It charges up to four vehicles at the same time, shares its power between them, and delivers up to 600 kW to a single car through its CCS connector. With an optional MCS cable, the same unit can deliver up to 1,000 kW to an electric truck.
The award connects to the plan Eldrive Romania set out for 2026: more high-power hubs, more installed capacity, and infrastructure that is ready for electric trucks as well as cars.
Thank you very much for this honour that motivates us and pushes us to move forward… the market in Romania needs to grow and it will grow through our efforts.

E-Mobility Infrastructure Leader
The Sustainability in Business Forum & Awards is organised by The Diplomat-Bucharest and Sustainability Today. Its 7th edition recognised initiatives, projects, companies and leaders across the Romanian economy, with Eldrive taking part as a Gold Partner.
Among the awards presented by The Diplomat-Bucharest, Eldrive Romania was named E-Mobility Infrastructure Leader. The citation describes a company that understands one thing about electric mobility: the transition cannot accelerate without infrastructure able to keep pace with it.
Fetești and more than 1,000 charging points
The citation singles out the Fetești hub, with ten ultra-fast chargers of 400 kW each, as a new benchmark for high-power charging. The hub serves one of the most important transit corridors to Romania's seaside. The citation also notes that Eldrive has passed 1,000 charging points across Romania.
For turning electric mobility into a reality at both national and regional levels.
On the forum stage
Before the gala, Elena Mandache joined the forum's second session, “Operational Transformation, Net-Zero Strategy and the Future of Industry”. Its agenda included green energy and mobility infrastructure: electric fleet adoption, charging network development and energy optimisation at company sites.
Elena spoke about how Eldrive Romania supports companies moving to electric mobility: a reliable charging network, continued expansion where businesses need it most, and technical support around the clock. She also shared Eldrive's view on fleet electrification and on why reliable, high-power charging infrastructure matters.
I was proud to accept it on behalf of our team, whose dedication, together with our partners’ trust, makes our progress possible.
