Eldrive, a public charging infrastructure operator for electric vehicles, has launched the construction of large charging parks at its own sites, each boasting a full ecosystem of on-site services. The first location is already underway in Lithuania and will support simultaneous charging for 20 electric vehicles in its initial phase, ultimately expanding to 40 charging points. The project also includes dedicated infrastructure for electric buses and trucks, with power outputs ranging from 200 to 400 kW DC. Completion and commissioning of the site are expected by the end of this year. Beyond the charging stations, users can enjoy a café, shops, and other supporting facilities, ensuring a comprehensive set of amenities on-site.

Eldrive intends to develop several such parks across Bulgaria, Romania, and Lithuania. “Such locations are unique and currently absent in the Baltics and Eastern Europe, and they are extremely rare worldwide,” notes Stefan Spasov, CEO of Eldrive Holding. “Unlike charging hubs we’ve been building for several years, these parks go beyond size alone. Eldrive takes a leading role in the ecosystem by providing fast, convenient charging plus a full range of partner goods and services—food, drinks, and shops. This is far more than a small café or vending machine: users get high-quality amenities with various premium options, reversing the traditional business model and meeting every need and expectation.”

The initial charging park is located near the city of Panevėžys on the Via Baltica highway (part of the E670 international road), a key route connecting Prague and Tallinn through Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia. The site spans 1.5 hectares (15,000 square meters) and includes a 318-square-meter building. Partnerships for this location feature “Caffeine” and “Narvesen,” both part of Norway’s leading conglomerate REITAN AS. Reitan Convenience AS operates in seven international markets with over 2,000 stores, serving 800,000 customers daily and achieving a turnover exceeding €10 billion in 2023.
